Executive Director
Judy Pestrak

The Executive Director is directly responsible to the MAA Council for administering MAA activities in accordance with the MAA's legislated mandate and Council policies and priorities.

The Executive Director also serves as the Reciprocity Representative for the MAA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the custodian of the MAA Seal and all books, papers, correspondence, contracts and other documents belonging to the MAA.
  • Supervise and manage the MAA's lands and buildings, subject to the direction of the Council.
  • Attend and record minutes for all meetings of the MAA Membership, Council, and Standing Committees.
  • Keep and manage a registry of all classes of membership and ensure that applications for admission are in the form prescribed.
  • Conduct all MAA correspondence and ensure that all required notices are forwarded to the MAA Membership, Council and Committees.
  • Receive all payments due to the MAA and maintain accounts.
  • Perform other duties determined by the Council.

Administrative Assistant
Taeng Phounsavat

The Administrative Assistant is directly responsible to the MAA Executive Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including annual membership billing.
  • Process Certificate orders.
  • Maintain MAA databases (members, firms and corporations), including annual firm profile updates.
  • Process annual renewals and current insurance policies for corporations.
  • Process Experience Summary Forms and Periodic Assessment Forms for the Intern Program.
  • Process annual declarations and continuing education tape orders for the mandatory continuing education requirement.
  • Provide general information concerning selection of an architect.
  • Perform other duties determined by the Executive Director.
