New Policy on Delinquent Experience Records

Existing policies that have been implemented over the past number of years have failed to address the growing problem of multiple and seriously delinquent experience submissions from Interns and Syllabus Student members who are enrolled in the MAA's Internship in Architecture Program (IAP). Alternative action has been discussed among the regulatory bodies in Canada in the past, since this appears to be a wide spread issue, and some jurisdictions have taken a more aggressive stance.
At its meeting in October 2019, the MAA Council accepted the recommendations of the MAA's Registration Board, and adopted a new policy that will take effect on May 1, 2020. All Interns and Syllabus Students were advised of the new policy, by way of email and regular mail, providing a full six months notice.
