Applicants with Broadly Educated Foreign Architect (BEFA) Certification

The completed application must be attached with:

• A photocopy of the degree(s) in architecture (or equivalent) that have been obtained
• Evidence of Certification for Licensure issued by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB)
• Three reference letters
• A completed Declaration, confirming knowledge of local laws, conditinos and practice requirements
• An application fee of $367.50

Applicants will need to review the following documents:

• MAA By-Laws
• Code of Ethics
• Builders' Liens Act
• Manitoba Amendments to National Building Code of Canada
• Manitoba Amendments to National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings
• Manitoba Amendments to National Fire Code of Canada

Applicants will need to complete the following documents:

• Application for Registered Membership (FORM BEING UPDATED)
• Declaration Form
